What to Expect

There are 2 lots to the south of the building that you can park in. They're free and clearly marked.
SCHEDULE
Your course consists of 4 sessions:

CONTENT
You'll learn the basics of gouache, including color theory, resist techniques, manipulating consistency, and integrating gouache into other mediums. You'll also learn how to treat and preserve gouache paintings for longevity.
You'll come away from the course with a solid understanding of gouache techniques, an excitement for experimenting with and implementing gouache into your practice, and a finished gouache painting that uses the India ink resist technique.

In this course we will be kind to ourselves and each other as we play and learn. That means

What to Bring

PAPER: 3 sheets of 140lb watercolor paper (8" x 10" or larger preferred)

GOUACHE: (traditional NOT acrylic): Titanium white and at least two primary colors. I prefer M. Graham & Co or Winsor & Newton

Designer’s Gouache (NOT ACRYLIC - must be water soluble)

BRUSHES: Watercolor: 1” flat, and a #8 or #10 Round

Drafting tape

Spritzer bottle

Towel or cloth (no paper towels, please)

A water container

Paint Palette
